Meditation
Meditation isn't one-size-fits-all. You don't have to sit perfectly still on a cushion to receive the benefits. Walking meditation, mantra repetition, breathwork, and sound healing are equally powerful ways to ground your mind and body. Even 30 seconds of mindful breathing can help regulate your nervous system. ​
If you're just beginning, try a short guided meditation or set a 5-minute timer. Focus on your breath - inhaling for a slow count of 3, exhaling for 6. When thoughts arise (and they will!), gently return your attention to your breath, Curiosity is the first step. Let your practice be simple, personal, and nourishing.
